We are a class of Year 5/6 students at Tirau Primary School in the mighty South Waikato, New Zealand. Like all minions, we live to serve. We have a passion for self-directed learning where we can structure our learning time the way we want, so it best suits individual student needs. Our teacher Mrs Mathers guides us through the day with inspirational learning tasks. Why not come on our journey and learn alongside us?

ANZAC Service
Congratulations to Bryah, Cooper, Denali and Corey for attending our local ANZAC service with Mrs Leonard, family and friends.
Here are some photos of the service. Many thanks to Mrs Leonard and Mrs Grattan for sharing these with us.
Bryah and Cooper laid our school wreath on behalf of the students, staff and families of Tirau School.
Don't they look fabulous in their smart school jackets!
Many thanks to everyone who helped our Ambassadors.

Autumn
What do you think of when you hear the word Autumn?
When we return to school next term, we will be well into Autumn. In NZ, Autumn is from 21 March - 21 June.
Write a comment explaining what Autumn means to you and the sorts of things we can do in Autumn.
Start your sentence like this: Autumn to me means .....
Here's mine:
Autumn to me means bringing out the electric blanket and starting to find soup recipes. I love the different coloured leaves at this time of the year.
