Spelling

Here is a list of the essential words that all Primary school children in NZ learn.  The lists are grouped from list 1 to 7; after that there is a list titled 'commonly misspelt words'.    Once the children have mastered these 8 lists, I then move them onto harder lists.  These are known by letters M to U.

Children need to practice these and be able to verbally spell them and write them.  I hope these lists help you at home with spelling.
